I can't write today, because apparently we had a visitor in the night...
...so I have to go stock up on under-the-porch-cat food.

I am afraid I just don't get that. It looks like people footprints, and the gate is open. So why would you need cat food. Is it just too early in the day for me?
Hm. Well, it's cat footprints. The gate stays open once it snows so I don't have to shovel ALL the way around it. We feed stray cats from a bowl we keep under the porch. You can see how Kitty climbed up the stairs because the drifts were too high to go around, and then hopped off the side to get under.
Sorry. Sometimes I forget that not absolutely EVERYTHING in my head is out there for all to see.

At first, I figured squirrel, raccoon, or (shudder) possum. Definitely a kitty 'though. Hooray for you guys for feeding 'em.
We're not total saints. The outdoor cats get cheapy Wal-mart Chinese poison food, and the warm fat indoor ones get Science Diet.
I was thinking racoon, til you said cat. Even if it is the ChinaWall Mart cat food, it is nice of you to keep them full.
