Happy Columbo Day, everybody!
What?
Oh.
Ahem.
Happy Columbus Day, I mean!
I dreamed last night that the toilet in the new bathroom had been leaking behind the wall since we installed it. I dreamed that I got up in the night to pee, and when I flushed it the whole toilet pulled out of the wall (which is silly, because of course the toilet's not attached to the wall, but anyway) and this wave of water cam gushing out of the soggy, buckled, blueboard. There was a hole the size of my foot by the baseboard and I could see right down to the crawl space underneath.
And then there was this clump of unexplained hair. The size of my palm, dense like it had been shorn from a bear or something, and sort of fox-colored. I couldn't imagine what sort of critter was living in the crawlspace that would shed a clump of hair that size or color. I remember that I smelled it (because what would you do if you found a clump fo unexplained hair on your soggy bathroom floor?) and it did not smell good (which seems to me pretty much what you'd expect from a clump of unexplained hair etc.).
Needless to say, I did not get back to sleep much after that. And now I'm off to work. It's raining, so I'm wearing my trench coat in honor of -- oh yeah.
Well, I'm wearing the trenchcoat anyway, because I don't own any of those silly hats.

Glah!
gross.
Yeah, seriously, what's wrong with me these days that I can't seem to write a pleasant post to save my life?
Tomorrow, I promise...
I like the idea of Columbo Day MUCH better than Columbus Day.
If today wasn't already tomorrow, I'd celebrate Columbo Day just for you! Remind me in time next year, 'k? ;)
Eh.. you freak over spiders but pick up and sniff a giant fur ball? Could it be chubacka living there. (Sorry about the spelling I did not actually view the movie}
ewwwwwww, you dream about sniffing alien matter? It must be the 800mgs. Aside from that, you mean to say, yes, you have no fedoras today? (or is it fedori?) But do you have any half-chewed cubans?
Actually I meant the funny-looking hats ColumbUS wore, but that works too...
