During the (hopefully) last fire extinguisher incident in our house, my Johnny had to run past the boiler THAT WAS ON FIRE to run upstairs to get it (the boiler was only 65 years old and popped only once in awhile, so why would we ever put it anywhere near THAT?). For example... if your kitchen caught afire; it would be no more handy for that, than where it is right now.. So this makes perfect sense to me...
Oh, also, forgot to mention...when I lived in the big green tinderbox with the Firestarter (you may have heard of the Great Hot Dog Fire of 2006?) we kept an actual fireman on hand :)
He was just a volunteer, but man, did he come in handy.

Maybe an investment of 2 or 3 would not be a bad idea?
Ooooh...near the FIREplace. And I agree, maybe, perhaps, another may be needed?
