The Plague Becomes Me

I dragged my aching bones from my sickbed for the express purpose of graciously acknowledging all the get-well wishes I just knew would be waiting for me in the comments section of my previous post (thanks a lot, guys! at least my mom still loves me) and instead I found an email telling me that an essay I submitted back in October has been accepted for web publication!

It's over here at Backhand Stories. Go read it! If you do, it will save me having to write anything else coherent for the rest of the day.

And I hope you all get better soon. Because I know the only thing that could possibly be keeping you from sending me your sympathies, would be if you were all down with this creeping crud yourselves.

Achoo!

Ooh. Pukey Pukerson...I like it! Well, no. It's a dreadful state to be in. But, that's a damn catchy lil' name! Let me try another to capture how you feel: Blecchy McBlecchenstein. Naw. I like pukey pukerson better...Congrats on getting your (very funny) story published! And, feel better soon.

Great story and I hope you feel better soon! (It was kinda subtle but I can take a hint. Nevertheless it was a great story and I do hope you feel better soon.)

I totally do have the plague, but I hope you feel better soon anyway. Congrats on the new piece!

Day 8 of high-dose prednisone. I love ya darlin', truly, but I'm having a super spectacularly crudly mccrumbcrap day myself. Didn't mean to inadvertently contribute to your feeling like you were sick but no one seemed to care (damned awful combination, I know). Sorry you're not feeling well. I'll scoot over to read your essay as soon as I have three functioning braincells to rub together.
