AAAUUUUGGHHHHH!!!!!

This website that talked about the John Edwards thing that I posted on? One of the ones I linked to, in the interest of giving credit where credit's due? Which they didn't, but whatever?

Well, I signed up. In order to leave a comment about the whole John Edwards thing. To sign up you have to give an email address, and when you do they send you a welcome email...

"Thank you for signing up for the conservative revolution at Townhall.com!"

Oh, shit!

bwaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha

You mean... you're NOT?!?!?

Actually, I'm on the mailing list for one well known ultra-conservative group so that whey they try to do online polls about really stupid stuff, I can start spreading the word to get folks other than their regular supporters to cast their votes. Apparently this is not uncommon because often I'll get several emails fwd^99999 about the same thing within a few hours of my sending out MY email about it, and way often they've ended up just taking the poll down and never discussing the results.

OH! Acknowledge anything that might even hint to the possibility that maybe not everyone agrees with us?!?!? Goodness sakes, we could never do THAT now, could we?!?

Oy.

Oh and just because I think you'll get a kick out of it, the way I was able to finally get my ultra-liberal mom to do something important related to her health several years ago was to threaten to send a bunch of money to the Moral Majority (which was The Only Game in Town re: ultra conservative groups at the time) in her name.
